Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about BondNow.

How do BondNow groups, subscriptions, and Admin roles work?

BondNow groups are created and managed by an Admin, usually the family member setting up the device. The Admin controls group settings and invitations, ensuring the environment remains secure and trusted. If you are invited to a group, you do not need to pay. You automatically receive a Free Plan and enjoy all features enabled by the Admin’s subscription level. You can still create your own basic group or upgrade later if you want to manage premium features for your own household.

Can I add a handsfree user who does not have a personal email address?

Yes. BondNow is built with accessibility in mind. You can create their profile using the admin member’s email. Both you and the handsfree user will then log in using the auto-generated usernames sent during setup.

Can a BondNow group include multiple hands-free users?

Yes. You can add several hands-free users to the same group. Each of them will receive incoming calls.

Do I need to buy the BondNow tablet?

To ensure the experience runs smoothly, we recommend using our dedicated tablet. The tablet is managed remotely and locked down to only run the BondNow app. It also keeps the memories screen running and removes distraction for handsfree users.

Which regions does BondNow ship to today?

We ship worldwide.

Why is the managed tablet showing more than one app and not locked down?

When the tablet is shipped we configure it in a relaxed mode so you can set up Wi‑Fi. After this step, contact us and the tablet will then be locked down. We can lock and unlock the tablet remotely.

How is BondNow different from WhatsApp, Zoom, or FaceTime?

Conventional apps are not built for accessibility and are only communication apps. BondNow adds handsfree calling with auto-answer, caller name announced, and a memories screen for photos and videos managed by the family.

When I call the group, does everyone get the call?

Currently, the call is directed specifically to the designated handsfree user’s device. Other family members are not rung simultaneously like a conference call, but they can choose to join from the group.

Why does calling and auto-answer not work smoothly on a personal device?

Because BondNow uses face recognition to accept calls, Android and Apple security policies can prevent face recognition from running when the app is closed or in the background. We are working on an option where calls can be answered automatically after a short delay.

How long are “Memories” (photos and videos) kept?

Recently sent photos and videos are stored for 7 days. After that, BondNow keeps the latest media on a rolling basis.

Do video memories play sound?

Yes. On first run, the video plays with sound and is muted after that to avoid disturbance.

I do not see the Reminder feature why?

We are constantly evolving. The Reminder feature is in development.
