The resident. The family. The care team. One platform.

Almost everything a family can buy helps one side of this and forgets the other. BondNow is built so all three people who matter share the same system, and so the older person is a participant in it rather than the subject of it.

What an everyday care companion actually is

It is not a video calling app, and it is not a care record. It is the thing that sits in the room with your relative and quietly keeps them connected to their life.

It asks nothing of them

No account, no password, no button, no app to open. If a device requires dexterity, memory or confidence that an older person may not have, it ends up in a drawer. Ours works whether or not they can use technology, because it never asks them to.

It starts things by itself

A station begins in the morning. A photo appears at lunchtime. A call connects without being answered. Most products wait to be used. A companion initiates, which is the difference between a device someone owns and a presence in the room.

It does more than one thing

Calls, memories and radio today, with reminders and more to come. One device, one subscription, one thing to understand, instead of a drawer of gadgets that each solve a tenth of the problem.

The gap nothing else fills

Every option below is good at something. Read the first row carefully, because it is the one almost everybody skips.

Only one column has a tick on every row, and the first row is the reason.

Why the first row is the one that matters

The common approach

The older person is a record to be viewed

Family portals, care apps and monitoring systems are all built for the people around the older person. Someone else logs in, reads an update, and feels informed. That is genuinely useful for the family and for the home.

But look at it from the other side of the room. Your mother does not experience any of it. Something is being done about her, and nothing is being done with her. She is the only person in the arrangement who gets nothing.

What we do instead

The older person is the user

The device belongs to her. Her family appears on it. Her station plays on it. She is not asked to operate it, and she is not asked to understand it, but it is hers and the day is better because it is there.

The family and the care team connect to her life rather than to a dashboard about her. That is the whole design, and it is why we describe it as a companion rather than a tool.

What we are honest about

BondNow is early. Rather than borrow somebody else's numbers, here is exactly where we are.

What is real today

Automatically answered calls, shared photos and videos, and scheduled radio. Since January 2025: 957 moments shared, 395 conversations without the touch of a finger, 85 people across 28 family circles.

What is coming

Gentle reminders arrive shortly. Everyday rhythms and a way to reach the circle quickly are in development. We say so plainly rather than implying they exist.

What we will not claim

We do not publish outcome statistics we have not measured. No loneliness reduction, no staff hours saved, no CQC result. When we have run a care home pilot and have real numbers, we will publish those instead.

BondNow is not a monitored alarm service and is not a medical device. It does not call 999 and it does not detect falls. Please keep any telecare or emergency arrangements you already have.
